About BTAT membership

BTAT membership is an EFD gold member privilege. BTAT members address the business need for accessible technology, by improving their own business performance while encouraging their supply partners to develop accessible ICT solutions.

EFD gold members are invited to nominate a representative from their corporate ICT procurement team, typically Chief Information / Technology Officer. Meetings are held once a quarter giving members the opportunity to identify common barriers and jointly solve problems.

These are some of the reasons that our gold members decided to find out more about accessible technology:

  • Board level consultation identified where disabled employees were frustrated about technology getting in the way of their job
  • ICT practioners looking for a formalised approach for obtaining non-standard ICT kit for disabled colleagues
  • Procurement teams requiring advice on purchasing ICT, particularly from international suppliers
  • HR professionals looking for guidance on ICT reasonable adjustments
  • UK based ICT teams looking for ways to influence global policy on accessible ICT's
  • Public sector organisations wishing to meet their legal and regulatory obligations

BTAT membership also provides the opportunity for you to meet and talk to other members about accessibility issues through the BTAT Forum, on-line and phone tutorials and UK wide networking events.
